🤖 Build your own robot 🤖
Found this beast at AREA15 in Vegas > a robot welded together from copper barrels, scrap pipe, and rusted valves.
Here’s what hits you standing next to it: it isn’t a fancy machine. It’s parts. Somebody picked each barrel. Somebody welded each joint. Every dent, every seam, every choice is somebody’s hand.
That’s why it’s the most personal robot in Vegas.
I gave a talk this week on building your own AI assistant. The pitch is simple > three primitives, plain markdown, a few hundred lines of config:
🤖 Memory > what it knows about you
🤖 Skills > playbooks it runs when you ask
🤖 Hooks > scripts that fire on your events
People keep asking what’s special about it. It’s not the model. The model is the same one everybody else gets.
What’s special is that it’s YOURS.
This robot didn’t come out of a box. It came out of a yard full of industrial scrap and somebody’s stubborn vision. Pipe by pipe. Weld by weld.
Don’t buy intelligence.
Build a disciplined operator that uses it > and make it YOURS.
Pipe by pipe. Weld by weld.
